Anonymous 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 11 years ago 3
sorry... silly question, after a photo is uploaded - how can it be deleted? :P
Answer

You can now delete any photo from the 'overview' page of the story. Mouse over the photo you want to delete and click on the 'X' that appears in the top right hand corner. You can get to the overview page by clicking on the story title wherever it appears.

Don't support Safari? Seriously?

Anonymous 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
It's 2012.  Stop writing browser-specific code.
Answer
Cheehan Tee 12 years ago
Sorry for the inconvenience. We don't have any browser-specific code that breaks on Safari; it' just that we didn't have the resources to test the site on Safari so to be safe, we disabled it on Safari. The good news is that we have now tested it on Safari 5 and discovered that it works just fine without any change so we'll 'support' Safari on our next update (expected in the next couple of days).

Replace the square orange tile while dropping photos to the orange dot icon

Anonymous 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
Currently the places are signified by the orange round shaped box but it would be cool if instead of the squares we can put up the orange dot map marker. That makes it look more like a place.

Thanks for the suggestion. We do have plans to improve the look of the location tiles.

Hovercard

Vedha Sayyaparaju 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
You guys should have a hovercard instead of clicking on photos to get more info about the trip.
Answer

We did try hovercard but in our testing, we found that some user didn't like them because some times they pop up unexpectedly. Let's see how the community votes on this one :)

when I am done creating a story, I am confused what to do next. I cannot find a 'Done/preview' button.

Raghu Hegde 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
The user doesnt have a clear idea of what next. does he have to do something/ can he see his post somewhere/
Answer

Hi Raghu,
Right now, the moment you upload the photos the story is created and accessible by others. We will likely change this so that you can edit the story (add captions, reorder photos etc.) before posting or publishing it for others to see.

being able to add dates to the timeline?

Anonymous 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0

Answer
Cheehan Tee 12 years ago
Yes, if your photos are uploaded directly from your PC, we will have their timestamps and will create the dates for you automatically. If these photos are uploaded from Facebook, we don't have their dates but we will let you manually set the trip date soon.

Multiple albums for the same location

Raina Verghese 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
If more than one friend is visiting the same place, I am not sure how the photographs appear on the map? Will they be one above the other? If yes, how do I view both albums? I tried moving the albums around but that just scrolls the map.
Answer
Cheehan Tee 12 years ago
Hi Raina, thanks for the question. If more than one story is tagged to the exact same location. You'll be able to see only one story (in the form of a thumbnail) on the map. To see the the other stories from the same location, you can click on the orange location link wherever it appears (e.g. in the story that you can see on the map), or you can search for that location in the search bar.

Photo Grouping when Setting Location

Anonymous 12 years ago updated by Cheehan Tee 12 years ago 0
hi again - just wondering if other than clicking on the individual uploaded photos and then dragging the selection to a location, is it possible to click, drag and lasso? :P
Answer
Cheehan Tee 12 years ago
That's a good idea. Let us think about it. In the meantime, there are a couple of ways you can easily select multiple photos:
(1) Click on the first photo in the sequence of photos you want to select, then shift-click on the last photo in the sequence. This selects the entire sequence.

(2) Click on the "Select All" link to select all the photos in each section.
